The scoop from Leslie Lazenby:
"The Olympus XA2 has a 35mm f3.5 lens. The camera uses a zone focus that resets to mid distance when the cover is closed. The exposure is all automatic with center weighted metering. The ISO options allow for films rated 25 to 800. The shutter speeds can fire as fast as 1/500 or stay open a long as 2 seconds. The camera requires 2 S76 batteries (included) and the system turns off and on via the sliding clam shell cover. Even though the 3.5 lens is slower that the original model XA's f2.8, many loved the fast zone focusing for street shooting and at just over 7 ounces this tiny camera packs a lot of quality in it mechanics and fabulous Zuiko lens."
