Minolta 16 film refers to a subminiature film format used in a series of compact Minolta 16 cameras produced primarily in the 1950s through the 1970s. 

  • Format: 16mm film - unperforated or perforated can be used

  • Cartridge: Proprietary Minolta cassette

  • Image Size: Typically 10×14 mm per frame

  • Camera Type: Subminiature "spy" cameras like the Minolta 16, Minolta 16 II, and Minolta 16 QT

  • Film Advance: Manual, frame-by-frame

  • Use: Mainly amateur photography and sometimes surveillance or novelty use

  • Reloading: Preloaded cartridges are not available. You must reload Minolta 16 cassettes with 16mm film.
