Q: What is the Frankenstein 200 reciprocity failure recomendations?
A: Frankenstein 200 begins to exhibit reciprocity failure at exposures longer than about 1 second. Their published recommendations are:
- Metered 1 second → Expose 3 seconds
- Metered 10 seconds → Expose 90 seconds
- Metered 100 seconds → Expose 1,800 seconds (30 minutes)
In real-world use, some report needing significantly less compensation than the official recommendations, especially for exposures in the 1–10 second range. As with most films, it's a good idea to run a few tests if you're planning critical long-exposure work.
