Original Wolfen Color 200 is an entirely new Color Negative Film, made in Germany. Intended for daylight filming, although could be used with tungsten lighting if properly filtered. This versatile film provides vibrant colors with an appealing saturation and a wonderful grain structure.
Original Wolfen Color 200 expands the filmmaker's toolbox as it offers a unique and incomparable look for advertising, short movies, television shows, flashback scenes, documentaries, music or skating videos and many other projects. The texture and unique color rendition create a lovely cineastic charme and is clearly and immediately recognizable as being analogue. A stylistic choice for which small format film is used today within otherwise completely digital productions. This uniqueness and quick recognizability as photographic film are the advantages and strengths of this material.
In cinefilm applications imperfections may occur. We have achieved the best results when exposed @160 ASA (this will yield a denser negative). When processing is done by machine, it is mandatory to use machines designed for 8mm or 16mm film, as these transport the film more "gentle" and with less tension. Excessive pressure on the wet emulsion should be avoided. For example, RemJet removal should not be performed as this is unnecessary and adds needless stress on the film.

Terms – With the rare exception of a film product recall, user issues with film are a by-product of the deterioration of parts in the vintage cameras used to shoot the film. Even functioning and previously tested vintage cameras may experience motor film transport issues, film breakage, light leaks, over-and-under-exposure, and emulsion scratches. We feel it is important to bring your attention to these risks as we do not accept returns, offer replacement film or refunds on Super 8 movie film.
