Super 8 Develop / Scanning Services

Your Steps:

Step 1: Download your film form HERE. Fill out your film form, you will need to include it in your return package. *

Step 2: Select your scan resolution and place your order. You may order as many additional develop / scan services as you like in this order as long as you are sending the rolls in for development at the same time. If you intend to send your rolls in at different times, please place a unique develop/scan order for each roll. Please note that all products other than develop / scan must be ordered separately.

Step 3: Mail your film and your completed film form to the address on the film form.

*We do not accept vintage rolls of Kodachrome, Ektachrome 160 Type G/A or Ektachrome 7240 VNF-1.

FPP Steps:

Step 1: Check In - We will email you upon check-in of your film, typically within a few business days of arrival but on occasion this may take longer.

Step 2: Services – Typical turn-around time is 3-6 weeks from check-in of your order. However, please note that while film scanning & color grading are performed at our headquarters, we use partner labs for processing and their turnaround impacts our schedule. In that case, it may take longer.

Step 3: Delivery – we email you your scan file download link once complete. We return your developed film approx. 4 weeks later, to provide you with enough time to check your digital file and ensure everything is correct.

Service Limitation - Once you place your order, immediately send your film in for service. This service becomes VOID after 60 days from the date of purchase. (Avoid your order becoming void by only ordering service when you're ready to send in your film for developing / scanning). Only purchase the service that you need. (For example, if you purchase three develop/scan orders, make sure you send your three rolls in one package for service. Orders cannot be split up over time)

Please shoot your entire roll before sending it in for processing.

Super 8: the word “exposed” will appear on your film when the roll is finished as shown in the image below).

The Fine Print - When you submit your film assets to Film Photography Project (FPP) for scanning or handling of any kind you agree to the fullest extent of the law to  indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FPP, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against all claims, losses, liabilities and damages of any kind, including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees, arising from or relating in any way to your use of our services, or any violation of these Terms, any law, or any rights of any third party, including when the active or passive negligence of  FPP is alleged or proven.

Shooter Error – it’s a fact that user error and / or malfunctioning vintage cameras can result in under, overexposed, blank film, jiggly lines due to a bad film gate/improper loading/malfunctioning camera. In the event we are unable to retrieve an image or correct an issue after scanning, we will provide you with feedback at the time we deliver your file.

The Lab - We would like you to be aware that we partner with one or more reputable outside labs for the processing portion of your package. For this portion of services, we only offer replacement of raw materials in case of transit loss or lab damage. If you are working on an important project, we recommend Production Insurance.

Loss & Damage - Your media is very important to you, and we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your film while they are at our facility.  However, sometimes the unpredictable happens during shipping to and from our facility, or while a service is being provided.  Our commitment to you, is that if any item is lost or damaged by us while at our facility, we will replace it with an item of equivalent amount.  To ensure you are protected above and beyond our replacement of the raw materials, we strongly suggest you acquire insurance.  To ensure you are protected during the shipping of the items, please insure your packages. We cannot replace the value of items that are lost in transit.
