From Michael Raso: “Black Easter was one of those completely unexpected projects that came my way in 2026 - and it became one of the most satisfying creative experiences of my lifetime.

Black Easter (the movie) is a lost 1994 horror anthology written and directed by my friend Bruce G. Hallenbeck. I was thrilled to help bring the film back to life as co-editor. Then I realized something - Black Easter had no music score.

Inspiration struck! I had just begun working on my follow-up to Synth Waves From Space, (working title" "Nineteen Eighty Four") I put it aside and immediately immersed myself in creating an original score for Black Easter.

The result is very different from my album debut - moody, melodic, strange and sometimes spooky. In many ways, I think it's also a much easier listen!

I loved discovering the sound of a film that had been waiting more than 30 years to be completed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
